One of the quality goals implemented in 2007, and continues to be a critical goal in 2008, is to make certain that all participating practitioners, especially primary care physicians, take a cultural competency course that will facilitate effective communication between practitioners and members of diverse populations. In order to meet this goal, every practitioner, in the VPHP network, needs to complete a Cultural Competency course. Completion of the course also needs to be communicated to Virginia Premier. Otherwise, you may appear on our noncompliance roster.
