At Virginia Premier, we understand it’s hard to find free time, especially for yourself. Getting a flu shot can be one of those things you want to do, but can never get around to actually doing. Life can get in the way.

But making time for a flu shot is important for your health and the health of those around you. For example, the CDC says that flu shots reduce the risk of illness by 60 percent1. By making a little time for a flu shot, you can make sure you don’t have to clear your entire schedule.

And with flu-related hospital visits a definite possibility, getting a flu shot is critical for those that are most at risk like infants and those over 65. One study even shows that flu shots are 92 percent effective in preventing hospital visits for newborns2.

We care about you and your loved ones. So contact your provider, or any participating pharmacy for FAMIS and members over 21, and get a flu shot this season. Your future health will thank you!
