Many of our employees are interested in becoming leaders—perhaps as a project leader, a peer team leader, or as a supervisor or manager of a group of employees.
Our leadership development programs, (e.g., Career Enhancement Program, LEAD and TOP LEAD), provide a combination of classroom and online training, business challenges, and application exercises and experiences to enhance our team members’ management and leadership skills. Graduates of our programs have earned promotions, experienced performance improvement in their current roles and have taken on other opportunities for enhanced leadership and growth roles in our company.
Prime 100 is our onboarding program for new employees to learn our business operations.

Our training programs will provide you with knowledge of the managed care industry and insight into the analytical tools we use to make decisions. You’ll learn about our business, our systems, and our customers. We’ll teach you how each department works together and how our processes come together to support our health plan members and medical providers.
Virginia Premier understands that its managers seek continuous development opportunities. Our management development program, Manager’s Momentum, teaches managers how to be strong leaders, and to manage their employees and themselves.
Some of the courses include: Leadership Essentials, Managing Employee Performance Problems, Leading through Change, Coaching Employees for Success and Human Resources Fundamentals.
Six Sigma IMPROVE is a training program that teaches methods for improving quality and implementing business process improvement.
Virginia Premier employees can receive their Six Sigma certification through Lean Six Sigma programs offered to our employees. After successful completion of the applicable program, employees earn their Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt Certifications.
Our dedicated Six Sigma IMPROVE Program leaders also provide ongoing support as team members apply Lean Six Sigma principles to improve processes in different operational areas. Project teams across the organization are engaged in projects that are critical to the operational efficiency and financial outcomes of the organization. We reward team members for the execution of the projects and the improvements they make.
